The ARC is a custom made armrest that is not only fit to the instrument but also the player. Each ARC is unique but offers the same benefits.

By keeping your arm off of the top of the instrument, you allow the wood to vibrate unimpeded, giving you greater tone and volume. You can test this effect by simply playing with your arm on the top, then playing with your arm floating off of the top.
